The Tailors' Book Club

Driving Indie Folk & Americana

 The Tailors'

Book Club

The Tailors' Book Club is driving Indie Folk & Americana with moody lyrics wrapped in toe-tapping melodies, sparse arrangements and big harmonic choruses.

The poet turned songwriter, Stephen 'Moon'ey weaves honest and moving lyrics into folk narratives, dark worlds and ash filled skies and leaves us buzzing with driving multilayered choruses.

Stephen 'Moon'ey

Stephen Mooney started his performance life as a poet and still litters his lyrics with passing references to the likes of Dylan Thomas, nods to Jack London or Hemingway or translating from Brecht. He has performed across Europe either solo or with his quartet, as part of the ukulele swing duo, 'Neno and the Jule Thief' or playing guitar and producing rhythms for Electronica artist, 'Dorothy Bird'.
